WE ARE

  • The the largest volunteer and the largest women's  membership organization in the United States
  • 300,000 members and associates in every state, each Congressional District and more than 30 countries around the world
  • Dedicated to educating and empowering women about their health, their rights, their religion and Israel
  • Providing leadership and training in every community through our extensive network of 1600 chapters and groups

 

OUR ACTIONS

  • Lobbying in Washington, D.C. promoting healthcare, women and children, and Israel
  • Training citizen advocates
  • Supporting health issues and womens rights
  • Protecting the First Amendment to ensure religious liberty and the separation of church and state
  • Offering citizen advocacy training programs: Day on the Hill, Date with the State, INFLUENTIALS TO ISRAEL, and INFLUENTIALS AT HOME

 

OUR PROJECTS

  • Hadassah Medical Organization (HMO) - providing state-of-the-art health care to nearly a million patients a year regardless of race, religion or nationality.  Our hospitals and clinics train medical personnel in Israel and around the world.
  • Hadasit -  marketing cutting edge biotechnology research and development
  • Young Judaea - offering clubs, camps and Israel programs for U.S. teenagers to build connections to Israel and Jewish life
  • Hadassah College Jerusalem - enabling students to pursue academic and associate degrees in various subjects providing them the skills and credentials to build their lives and pursue promising careers
  • Youth Aliyah/Children at Risk - founded to bring children of the Holocaust to Palestine, now provides housing, education, and support to disadvantaged Israeli and immigrant youth
  • Jewish National Fund - building roads and parks, planting trees and working to preserve Israel's ecology and natural resources

  • OUR LOCAL CHAPTER
  • Average age of local members is 40 something
  • More than 1600 members and growing
  • Walk on Sunshine is an annual fun walk and health fair, raising funds to support brain tumor research
  • Health education programs in areas such as stem cell research, diabetes, breast cancer awareness, ovarian cancer awareness and more
  • Sales of Greeting Cards, Certificates and JNF Trees to benefit our projects and programs
  • Cooking classes, Book Club, Torah Yoga, Mah Jongg & Game Days, and more
